Information guidelines to help with your costume hire or purchases

Costumes
May either be chosen & taken away on the day of use, or booked in advance. A personal visit to one of our stores is always advised to ensure the correct fitting of the outfits of your choice. Please telephone either shop for further advice. (Details on "contact us" page ).

We cannot and do not accept hire bookings by Email or Telephone.

Advance bookings
You may book the hire items as far in advance as you wish to secure them for the dates you require them for. To do this you will need to pay the appropriate hire fee and fill an invoice out with us in store. No goods will be reserved unless full payment is made and an invoice is completed and signed.

Identification

We require ID from the person hiring on all hires to show where the hire items are going to before the hire goods leave Masquerade. This must show full name and current address of the named person on the invoice who is responsible for the hired goods,

 WE DO NOT ACCEPT PASSPORTS AS ID. Failiure to show ID may result in refusal of hire.

Security deposit
This is left at the time of collection of hire goods which will be refunded in full on return, providing the costumes are in good order. Deposits may be left in the form of cash, cheque (with supporting card), or credit card void swipe.
We are unable to accept debit cards for deposits.
Credit card and cheque payments for deposits must be made by the card or account holder in store only. Deposits do not cover against loss or theft or replacement value of any items hired.

Terms conditions of Hire
A full copy of all terms & conditions relating to hiring is available to see in advance of hiring, in fitting rooms, at point of sale or on reverse of the invoice copy.

Insurance (ADW)
An accidental damage waiver is offered on each costume at £3.50 which covers a small level of damage, such as a small wine spill, small hem damage etc. This does not cover against loss, theft, or replacement value. The insurance will cover up to the value of £40.00 per costume. Boots and shoes are not covered by insurance, any damage is chargable.

Cancellations & change of orders
Please note we hold a 7 day cancellation clause. This means that any orders placed or cancelled within the 7 days up to your collection date will not be entitled to any refunds.

A £5.00 + VAT charge is made against each item / costumes changed or cancelled / future bookings made.

Retail Goods: Exchange & returns
Our Company Policy states, that we do not refund on any goods purchased unless they are proven to be faulty. We will exchange or offer a credit note only on items purchased.

Due to hygiene no wigs or make-up may be exchanged or refunded unless faulty.
