Queen Elizabeth IThe exquisite makeup of our "Elizabeth I" was created by Rick Geyer, Wig Master for the Los Angeles Opera.

Rick waxed over Amanda's hairline and brows to give the appearance of a bare, shaved forehead (apro-pos of the look Elizabeth made popular). After neutralizing, he applied a creme base, then set the makeup. Color Cake Foundation was applied with a brush over the entire powdered base. Pressed powder was dusted over the finished cake base.

To complete the illusion of Elizabeth's "plucked lashes", Rick brushed Color Cake over Amanda's eyelashes and "lined" her eyes with a Neutralizing Crayon. Very subtle contouring and coloring was used on Amanda's cheeks, eyes and lips.

Wig and costume transformed Amanda into "Elizabeth I".
